Dystopian lit is always appealing.

Favorite Books: Oh geeze, I love books. Chances are that if you hand me a book I will probably sit down, read it, and enjoy it in most cases so it's really hard for me to name favorites. I tend to like Fantasy and Sci-Fi books the best. Favorite Movies: Quentin Tarantino stuff (I have a great fondness or Kill Bill even if it's probably the least of his movies), Batman & Batman Returns (the Tim Burton ones), Tim Burton in general, Batman Begins, Spiderman 2 (I like superhero movies), New Waterford Girl, Moonstruck, Lars and the Real Girl, Hard Candy, Little Miss Sunshine, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Wayne's World, Moulin Rouge... this is hard, since I watch a lot of movies.

Favorite Celebrities: Johnny Depp, Cate Blanchett, Ryan Gosling, Ellen Page

Other interests: Well. The internet, obviously. I read a fair amount. I've been thinking about gender, religion, etc. a lot lately, though not posting much about it.

What do you look for in a livejournal friend? Stuff in common. Correct use of capitalization. (I tend to ignore people who don't use capitals. It's difficult for me to read.) Commenting is good. Or if you're just fantastically interesting.

What do you post about?: Fannish stuff, real life, politics. Sometimes there are rants. How much I post can be derived from the complex equation of how much I feel like posting. It varies a lot.

Anything Else?: I'm making an fst for Duke Roger of Conte from Tamora Pierce's Tortall series (specifically, the Song of the Lioness quartet). If anybody has songs for it, I'd appreciate it. (...I'm a little disturbed by the amount of time I've spent thinking about the Roger/Thom dynamic. I haven't even posted about it.)

Holy crap - I'm also from BC, we have quite a few fandoms in common, I love your book list, and Cate Blanchett is sort of my hero. ♥ Plus, I'm pretty picky about capitalization (and decent spelling/grammar, too).
