Hey guys, I know it's the last day, but I wanted to real quick throw in the information about the Fan Fic Remix Challenge happening on tumblr! The link for the original post by featherquillpen aka joking is here, and this is the text:

Animorphs Remix Challenge

What is a remix challenge?

Have you ever read someone else’s fanfiction and thought, I really like this story, but I wish there had been more action scenes, or, I wonder what happens in this AU five years later? Then you’ll enjoy a remix challenge. You’ll be matched up with someone else, and your task is to pick one of your recipient’s fics and rewrite it with your own spin.

The characters, pairings, and basic plot have to stay the same, though you can move background pairings to the foreground and vice versa. Everything else is up to you. You can rewrite the story from another character’s POV. You can set the story in a cowboy AU. You can add missing scenes or timestamps set before or after the story you remixed.

For examples, you can always browse the Remix tag on AO3 and look for links to the original stories.

When is this happening?

Signups will start today, December 29, and go until January 14. Assignments will go out a day or two later, and your fic should be posted with the #animorphs remix challenge tag by February 20.

Who can sign up?

To have your fic remixed in the challenge you must have written at least 3 Animorphs fics, to give your remixer some amount of choice. If you haven’t written 3 fics, feel free to sign up as a pinch hitter. Even if we don’t need pinch hitters, I will announce a “Remix Madness” period at the end of the challenge where anyone can remix anyone’s fic, so you’ll get your chance.

How do I sign up?

To sign up, send me an ask with a link to a masterlist of your fic or the tag on Tumblr/DW/LJ you use for your fic. Then give me three things you would like to have in a fic you remix, and three things you’d rather not have. For example:

Yes: Slash, Animorphs families, Jake. No: Het, Visser One, explicit sex.

I will do my best to match you with someone who’s written at least one fic that suits your preferences. If you’re signing up as a pinch hitter, just send me your preferences and I’ll keep you on file.
