I am not sure how relevant to people's interests this is, but (besides being a fan of Animorphs, of course) I am a HUGE fan of the webcomic Homestuck, which is about a bunch of thirteen year old kids, aliens, self-discovery, war and death and justice and heroism, time travel, and a giant complex chess game between the forces of creation and destruction that the kids are unwittingly drawn into.
So, basically, it was pretty much begging to get mixed up with Animorphs, and I drew a bunch of doodles to that effect. :P Mild spoilers for Homestuck behind the cut, in the "this is a thing that exists as a concept/game mechanic in Homestuck" sort of sense.

The original concept doodles I did! (Man, I am so proud of that Cassie.) I assigned colors, titles, and lands, and whether the character was a Derse or Prospit dreamer (the yellow/purple behind the names), and some Godhood designs. C:
For those who don't know what all that is:
Homestuck is framed with a video game, SBURB that breaks the wall between itself and reality. The players of the game are drawn into the video game world, and each is given a title and placed on personalized world. (For instance, John, the main character of Homestuck, is the Heir of Breath, and his world is the Land of Wind and Shade). In addition, they have "dreamselves" that live on the moon of either Derse, which is the stronghold of the black chess peices, or Prospit, home of the white chess peices.

Homestuck-style sprites. :V I am pretty proud of the Ax-man, I had to edit together Maplehoof and a Sprite base to make him.

> Cassie: Do the froggy thing

Land of Dew and Graves. (I don't know that Rachel actually has a sword as a weapon, but a random scimitar kind of seems like Rachel's thing. XD )

Land of Wind and Smoke. Not that you can see much of the land. :V
And that's all I have. C: I hope some of you like it!

Your Ax sprite is really cracking me up and I don't know why. I like him though! I like all of this! I never thought of it as a crossover before, but when you put it the way you did I'm surprised I hadn't.

Date: 2011-11-03 01:08 am (UTC)And it's actually really interesting, once you start thinking of canons that have characters in the right age range to play the game! But Animorphs especially has a lot in common with Homestuck, with the pattern of HORRIBLE THINGS and then brief flashes of levity. XD

Date: 2011-11-03 02:00 am (UTC)Or, you know, I could explain it here. XD The colors, in Homestuck canon, map to physical traits of the characters-- for the human characters, it matches their eye colors; for the trolls (the aliens we see the most of), it matches their blood color (except for this one dude, but that's a long explanation). For the Animorphs... I have yet to figure out exactly why they match up like that, they just felt right. XD But if I ever flesh out this AU, I will probably come up with something.
The Hero of Whatever titles determine your role in the game, and what powers are bestowed upon you as you level up; they also determine the design (by what your title is) and color (by what you're the hero of) of your godly hoodie, if you become a god. (So, if he were in color, Jake would be wearing this fetching shade (http://i.imgur.com/JfenY.png). :B )
The Godhood thing is pretty heavy spoilers, but it's both pretty intense and turns you effectively immortal! Which is cool. Also, the hoodies are adorable C:

Date: 2011-11-03 02:26 am (UTC)Clearly morphing secretly all gives them weird blood colours! Or the Ellimist did it.
...Also I have to admit that the idea of a 'godly hoodie' is incredibly amusing XD I imagine Marco in particular would get a kick out of them. But yes, if their godhood determines powers, does that mean Jake has Heart powers
IS HE MA-TI?and Tobias can warp time or something, etc etc?Seeing as I can't read Homestuck anyways, I don't really mind spoilers.

Ax has the best Godhood. The 8est.

You fail. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to make your words literally flay your enemies. You feel vaguely cheated.
