Visser One stands trial as we learn her history and the early days of the Yeerk invasion of Earth. And only know did I realize I didn't make a single Phoenix Wright joke.

You can watch it in one piece on Blip:

or in three pieces after the cut.

The Council of Thirteen isn't happy with the way the invasion of Earth is going. They've called Vissers One and Three to stand trial and give account of what they've been doing so far. the Animorphs eventually get involved as well, breaking up the party at the request of Visser One.

I still can't believe Eva actually asked not to be rescued, although I get why she did it.

Lots of good backstory in this book.

This is apparently a well-liked book, and I'm curious now that we've gotten to it again.

I may be editing this later on in the week because due to a requesting flub, the book is a little late. But, I'll add any comments I think of later if I have to.

I'm missing the summary on this one because the copy the library gave me doesn't have a dust jacket. But I can summarize anyway.

Vissers Three and One are on trial by the Council of 13 because of their failure to conquer Earth and their seeming empathy for the humans. We learn of many of their experiences in their early Earth days, including a tryst between their host bodies that produced two children. There's a trick played with real animals, and the actual Animorphs break in later, but Eva won't let them rescue her yet. What will the Council decide and how will our heroes be effected?

I know y'all are waiting for this one, or I hope so, since no one replied last week. I know this book is popular.

Eva has some guts, I don't know how many RL people would turn down a rescue opportunity.

Argh, I'm not thinking of any good questions this time, but there should be some great discussion for this one. If I think of anything or any good promps, I'll edit as fast as I can.

Soo...I admit it. In my first Animorphs craze, before I actually read other books and then came back, I never read Visser. And now I have. And...wow. I'm pretty sure it's the best book I've read all year. I think this one, more than any other, showed that the bad guys can be considered good, or at least understandable. Thoughts, anyone? Also, has anyone read/written any good fanfiction spawned from this particular book? I've got the strange urge to read some...
