Visser Two is here, and he's after the most nonchalant Navy fleet you've ever seen.

You can watch it in two parts below the cut.

The Yeerks are going to start WW3. They're going to use a controller-run US aircraft carrier to launch a missile at a Chinese vessel. Then the Chinese will retaliate and nuclear war will start. The Yeerks can then conquer Earth much easier in the aftermath. So the Animorphs have to get on the ship and attempt to stop the plot.

This book has a lot of the human morphing that was brought up a few threads back...I think it was intended to show them making more and more compromises as time and the war dragged on, but we still had mixed opinions IIRC.

What are thoughts on Ax's actions, and his reaction to his actions, his being so upset at himself?

Next week is the last special book, the Ellimist Chronicles, before we go into 47.

The Animorphs and Ax have managed to contact the Andalite home world. But the battle is far from over. Visser Two has arrived on Earth, and he's not happy about the state of things. He decides the best way to take over Earth is to have the humans destroy the people and the land the Yeerks don't need. He decides to start World War III.
Ax and his friends know that Visser Two means buisness and there will probably only be two ways to keep him from destroying everything they know. Find a way to stosp the war. Or find a way to stop him...forever...

This one is interesting to me because it really shows the team's increasing willingness to compromise, although Cassie still doesn't like it. Now they're willing to morph humans if they need to.

Is morphing humans really as bad as they make it out, by the way? Are they basically seeing it as taking someone's identity, therefore it's wrong, even though they aren't enslaving them like the Yeerks? I think that's the answer but I'm not 100% sure, hence my asking.

I like when Ax asked one guy permission and the guy was like "dude, acquire away" lol

What are everyone's thoughts on Ax feeling that he's acted in the ways he's previously complained about?

Any comments on the contact scene with the Andalite world? Other than it makes it more obvious the fleet isn't actually coming, although we still don't know for sure yet at this point. Anyway, why do you think the Andalites didn't consider Earth a priority? Did they already consider it doomed?

I'm struck by the scene of Ax staying with the dying sailor (the captain I think)after he was de-infested. I can see how he would not like so many noble warriors being used for evil purposes.

Apparently next week is the Ellimist Chronicles. I just hope it comes in from the library in time.
