Marco's dad has discovered z-space. Which is a big problem. The Yeerks want him for themselves, understandably. But Marco isn't about to stand by and let his dad get infested. But, after he saves his dad, they have to find a way to get the Yeerks to stop chasing them. This means faking their deaths. As if all this isn't enough, they find out that Visser One, or the Yeerk formally known as Visser One, is being executed. This means they can rescue Marco's mom finally.

I rather enjoy this book. Which is rare for me, because there aren't many late period books that I even like enough to request from the library lol.

Jen, why didn't you like the way Marco's dad reacted? I've been waiting all week to ask that LOL.

This book usually brings a lot of discussion about the whole Eva/Marco's dad/Nora thingy.

I like Eva finally letting go and raging at Visser One, smashing and smacking until she flattens it.

Things were already really wierd. Fighting aliens. Battling to save Earth. And still tarying to be normal. Marco, the other Animorphs and Ax are almost used to it. Almost. But things are changing. The Yeerk invasion of Earth started out passively. Secretly. But now, everything seems to be stepped up. Even Marco's father is talking about some top secret project at his job. Something about developing zero space.
Marco doesn't know whether his father is a controller. But he does know he's not going to let the Yeerks win this one. They've already got his mother. And Marco will do anything it takes to save his father. Anything...

This was kinda alluded to in one of the earlier books...The Android I think. In the sense of Marco saying he would take on a ton of controllers before letting his dad be infested. This one is a favorite of mine anyway.

This of course is the series's biggest turning point in many ways. The repercussions don't all happen right away, but we'll see a lot going down soon.

Who was right in their opinion? I feel that Marco was indeed acting human, doing what anyone would in his situation. Although I can see why Jake said what he did too.

The big question is, how would Marco's dad resolve the situation with Nora and Eva? Obviously she's a controller right now but I can't help wondering what they did after the war. (Sorry for going ahead. Can't help it lol) Even Marco feels bad about it.

Does anyone have any comments about the seriousness of the situation for Marco in regards to now being officially dead and its impact on him?

I love how Ax can't believe humans have progressed so fast and have discovered Z space.

Prompt...Family Reunion

Next week we meet Visser Two.
