Four Andalites are arrived on Earth to assassinate Visser Three. One of them is really cute. Can Ax keep his dick in his pants long enough to save the day?

You can watch it in one piece on Blip:

or in two pieces on Youtube below the cut.

So...Mary Sue or not Mary Sue, that is the question. I have seen a lot of different reactions to her, although I didn't have any sort of really strong one. I do think a case could be made for the writers going overboard a bit, but IDK one way or the other.

More Andalites have arrived. But it's not the promised fleet. It's just a single ship. Ax is torn up again though, especially since one of them is a female named Estrid. He appears to be crushing on her. They are a bit troubled that his prince is a human and that he's allied with humans. He finds himself in more trouble though, when he learns the group plans to release a virus, much like Alloran did on the Hork-Bajir. It will kill Yeerks. But it could also kill humans. And the crew won't be easy to stop because they're on a possible suicide mission.

I know this book provoked some debate about Estrid, and I can see why some felt she was somewhat Mary Sue-ish.

It would be easy for a first time reader to get a little thrown off by the apparent fight scene with the group. I kinda figured out it was a ruse because I read ahead all the time, but someone who doesn't wouldn't have known.

*has to brace for next week and the Buffa-stuff...uhoh*

Andalites have finally arrived on Earth. The Animorphs and Ax now have allies willing to fight against the Yeerk invasion. But there are only four Andalites. Not nearly enough to defeat thousands of Yeerks. Not enough to stop more humans from being infested.

So everyone agrees that the battle must continue. But the Andalites don't want to fight alongside humans. They feel their skills will be less than adequate. And they demand that Ax choose a side. Will Ax stay with his friends...or stand with his people?

I'm curious to see how we feel about this book aside from the whole Estrid thing. I leafed through The Decision again and actually this one seems to have some tones of that one coming back. The traitor's even mentioned in this book.

Why are they so willing to use germ warfare anyway? I mean I know it's not a mainstream thing but I wonder what it is with Alloran and his brother wanting to use viruses.

Ax having a crush is kinda funny.

I'm not entirely clear on something. Why did the Animorphs stage the fight and breakup and want to make the Andalites think they'd fallen apart? I'm missing something but not sure what.

I guess 'choosing sides' sounds like a good prompt...

Uh oh, next week is the dreaded buffa-human...That's gonna yield some choice conversation lol.
