Marco gets caught up in the self-help industry, UPN and Hanson. I don't know, it probably made sense at the time.

Marco's family life is getting strained. His dad is feeling better and is dating again. But he's about to marry his girlfriend, Nora. Who happens to be Marco's math teacher. Marco wants to tell the secret about Eva desperately, but he isn't sure if it's safe or if it's best to. He knows his mom may well die before they can save her. And he has a bigger problem: The stress is causing him to morph strange mixed morphs. Polar bear and poodle. Skunk and spider. Osprey and lobster. Can he control himself long enough to help the group stop a new Sharing spokesman?

I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed when they finally rescued Eva, but can also understand Marco wanting his dad to be happy. I don't know if I think he should have told him the truth or not.

The mixed morphs thing was just plain weird.

I don't think Nora was really a controller at this stage, although who knows? I think it was just Marco trying to make his dad feel better.

I do have to wonder what happened after the war was over with the three of them though. We discussed it before, I know.

Marco already knows he has a few problems: The constant battle with the Yeerks, finding out his mother was infested-and is now Visser One. The leader of the Yeerk invasion of Earth. But things are about to get even wierder. Marco's father is thinking about getting married again.

Meanwhile, the Animorphs and Ax have other things to worry about. It seems the Yeerks are trying harder than ever to get people into the Sharing. Now the kids have to find a way to slow down recruitment. But Marco's personal stress is causing him to morph into creatures that don't exist. Creatures the Yeerks are sure to notice and attack.

Do you think the right choice was made with Marco not telling his dead about everything yet? Should he have or no? I know it was risky at any time not knowing if his dad was also infested or not. Or if Eva was still alive this time around.

I notice the use of the TBC ending...or sort of TBC anyway. We have several multibook plots but do you like the carrying on of plot points, like the end here and the anti-morphing ray a few books back? I kinda do. Sorta like Buffy or Angel lol

I do think some kids could relate to Marco because being in a situation like that, even a normal type one without aliens and stuff is stressful.

Prompt: all I can think of is something like 'new parents' or 'blended family'...brain isn't working well this time.

Funnies:

Ax: Perhaps your father is young and restless. Those who are young and restless frequently change mates
Marco: Okay first thing, we smash Ax's TV

Tobias: Someday people will ask us about the war against the Yeerks. Let's leave this part out.

The poodle cover is a little sentimental for me cause I used to have two of them 9though not white ones, apricot and black) and still miss them sometimes.

I'm anxious for this coming weekend 'cause you all are going to love being turned loose on Visser lol. The Mutation comes after that.

I hope you all know the rules by now.
