Series Re-Read #29 The Sickness

buffyangellvr23.livejournal.comSomething's wrong with Ax. He's sick. And if the Animorphs can't find a way to help him, he'll die. Worse, Aftran is being held captive at the pool so Visser Three can interrogate her. And the other Animorphs are getting sick, leaving Cassie on her own to save the day.
I enjoy this one, despite the Cassie isolation once again. And I know some of you commented on the alien appendicitis thing and why the rest of the group should get sick. It has its moments though.
"She wants my bodeeee! b-dee!"
There was some kind of comment about Tobias taking somebody back to his tree, and he replies:
"The chicks go wild for the feathers bay-bee!"
I liked the Illim/Tidwell characters. I wish they'd come back for some more later on.
"Yeah, that's where they say please before they shove their slimy bodies in your ear" lol
Love Marco's spiel about upchucking...although he forgot "praying to the porcelain goddess" lol

Cassie and the other Animorphs come up with a plan. But it involves finding a new way into the yeerk pool. There's just one problem: Jake, Rachel, Tobias and Marco all come down with Ax's sickness. And now, for the first time, Cassie is on her own...
I don't like the summary that well on this one. I wanna know too who wrote them lol.
This is one of my favorites, but typically I can't exaclty say why, darnit. I even brought Illim back in one of the RPs I'm in lol. He's in Jake's daughter now in it.
I think it had to be a big leap of faith trusting Mr Tidwell and Illim. I'm not sure I if I would have or not.
Anyone else get that the yamphut was like Appendicitis? I'd love to know how it gave the humans the flu though. I have science curiosity sometimes lol
Did you like the ending or would you rather Aftran stayed in Cassie? It would definately be dangerous...
I thought they came up with the only solution they could for Aftran in the end. It might've been interesting if she could fight with them as an Animorph but again way dangerous.
Love the dance stuff in the beginning. "Hey the chicks go wild for the feathers bay-bee" and Marco trying to get Rachel to go with him to the dance. Also the group trying to head off the girl interested in Jake.
Erek said they could have made it without him...do you think they could have? How? (I do think they'd have found a way)

hmm prompt...'slippery as an eel' sounds good, or 'sick in the head'
Next week: Time travel! That is, Megamorphs #2 rather than The Reunion. The Reunion comes after that.
