(I forgot the number, darnit)

The Chee have a problem. Their holograms and ability to move have been knocked out due to alterations made to the Pemalite ship they rely on. Chee everywhere could be exposed to the world if the Animorphs can't get to the ship and fix it. But how do you get to a ship miles underwater? As giant squid of course. But first you have to catch a sperm whale...

And so we learn a little more about Crayak and meet his assistant, Drode.

I kinda like their attempt at a ruse with the kitchen droid thing. Funny. It was also funny how the ship was so polite the whole time.

Of course we're left to ask later how deep they really put the ship, but that's another book.

I guess Crayak and Drode were toying with the group because they were sore about the whole Iskoort thing.

Despite being non-violent, the Chee have helped the Animorphs a lot. But now they need our heroes' help. The ship they're connected to, a Pemalite ship deep underwater, has been accessed and though the Chee can still speak and think, they cannot move or creat holograms. Can the Animorphs and Ax get to the ship and fix it in time? And why does it seem like someone's toying around with them?

Well, this week we meet another new character, the Drode, whom we will encounter again later on. *says no more until we get there* Why do you think Crayak was playing his elaborate game to begin with? He obviously could have had the Drode deliver his message in a much easier way.

And does anyone have any comments on what the Drode said about the various Animorphs as he was taunting them?

I know Jake's the defacto leader but why do you think only he was made the offer?

Rachel's subplot is also interesting. The fact that she could have dated someone else but not only would have felt disloyal but there's always the "what if he's a controller?" factor and the fact that Tobias understands what she's going through like this other guy can't.

I think a good prompt for this one is "'Deep' trouble" .

I hope you all know the rules by now.

Next week: Chimps and Cows (darn, I'm out of snazzy preview line ideas for that one lol)
