I like how they did her, because she was the first attempt to show that not all Yeerks were the same and irredeemably evil. She was pretty much a baddie at first, but she was influenced enough by Cassie to change her ways.

I think it would have been cool if they'd done what someone else suggested and made her like a human frolis nothlit or something, or had her stay in Cassie, though that would have been risky.

I'm new to this comm, but not to Animorphs. You might remember me back when Yahoo chat still worked in 1998 and 1999--I used to RP my Andalite OC by the name of Semeir-Cooraf-Armaheen. LONG ago...I'm aging myself, aren't I?

Anyhow, I've found that when I read the books, I gave some of the main Andalite characters the voices of actors I'm familiar with. Do you do this, too? Here's my cast:

Just a little one-off fic that came out of my friend and I bemoaning the lack of Leeran development, so I decided to write a story about some of the first Leeran controllers. Really, Leera is a really fascinating concept, because mass telepathy would make their civilization so much different than ours. Also, I got to indulge some econ wonkery, so I had a lot of fun.

Rated T for sex, nearly 4K words, complete.

So I dunno what the weather is like for you (and if you live on/near/south of the Equator, I don't want to know. D<) but around here, we're even as I type this getting pummelled by our second blizzard in less than a week. Our last one, before Friday, was in 1996. So everything's shut down and I'm bored out of my mind. Which, for me, involves playing Pokemon, arting around, and then staring blankly at Photoshop for, like, an hour, contemplating productivity.

Have some icons. As with my last icon dump, any/all of these are free for whoever likes 'em.

Hello, fellow Animorphs fans! I've come to show off.

Made this little guy out of a Mini-Munny and a Raffy, which is apparently Munny's new series... but anyway. I'm very proud of this guy, who is currently sitting here watching me type on my strange human keyboard. Quite a few hours went into work on him, between the sculpting and the painting. Probably almost 36 hours total.

But as much as I love having him around, I still must ask... if I were to put Mini-Ax on Ebay, would anyone be interested? Just curious, for now... And if/when I decide to put him up, you guys would of course be the first to know.

When I first read about how Andalites eat, I thought it sounded plausible. (For anybody passing by who somehow missed this bit of trivia: Andalites eat by walking on grass. This pulverizes the grass enough that juice comes out, and they absorb the grass-juice through their hooves. It sounds pretty convenient... they don't even have to stop what they're doing to eat. They just walk around.) Some things I learned recently made me think more about how this would work. ( Read more... )

Hi guys~! =D I'm new here...

When I was little, this series was my obsession. .__. Like fer shizzle. I've gotten back into it recently, read through the whole thing via e-book, and THEN a friend of mine gave me almost the whole thing in book form, so now I'm totally fixated again. xD I've totally been accumulating doodles for this series for the past... six months?

I have doodles of the peoples, too, I just like the alien ones more. xD (Well, Tobias makes a cameo....)

So, the Spore Creature Creator demo recently came out, and I've been going nuts with it. For those of you who don't know, this demo allows you to create different kinds of creatures from basic templates. There's a lot of variety in what you can create, though it's not infinite.

One of the many things I've done with it recently was to try and make some Animorphs aliens.

Anything else I should try making? I was thinking of attempting a Gedd or a Ketran next.
