(I kept spelling his name wrong lol)

I thought of doing a seperate Tobias/Ellimist one, but it's easier this way, then I can move on next week to the races talks.

We had several books of interaction with him...The Stranger, then The Attack...Tobias in The Change. Rachel in The Beginning. Megamorphs 4. He helped a few times, but I think there was an element of working toward his own ends in there all along. And he didn't always accomplish things the way someone wanted, just ask Tobias.

ALSO

Or ask Rachel on that Tobias/humanity issue too. :P

Or, you know, Rachel DYING. I don't think that's how she wanted the war to be won.

SEE IDK

I THINK HE GAVE TOBIAS EXACTLY WHAT TOBIAS WANTED

I think that was kind of the whole secret point of that book, and it's why I consider it to be Tobias' big character development book. Tobias' issue was always that he was at odds with his humanity--he'd seen the darker parts of it and that made him question whether he even wanted to subscribe to it at all. The Ellimist making him human would have made that decision for him. What the Ellimist gave him was a choice, and I think it's pretty clear in the end what Tobias decided.

+1

He did kind of give him an out of sorts, didn't he? Silly superior beings, always pulling the strings... :P

Ellimist and the Kids sounds like a wacky sitcom spinoff
