Well, I got into Animorphs much later than the average fan; all of the books had already been published and all that fun stuff. When I had first seen the boys in my class reading #32 way back in Elementary school, seeing the pretty blonde turn into a starfish understandably creeped me out. And the TV show had aliens, which frankly scared me way back then. Coupled with the fact that I prefer more realistic fiction (love oxymorons), I didn't touch the series for years, until one of my friends commented off-handedly about a powerful ending... I was curious. I figured if I could break my realistic rule for "Harry Potter," I might as well.

I was hooked as soon as I read #1. My favorite characters are Erek, Toby, Eva, Loren, Marco, Ax, Tobias and Aftran. I've never read a Jake book I didn't like. But Erek is my ultimate favorite, and always has a special place in my heart. I wrote a decent amount of Animorphs fanfiction, and eventually ended up losing interest.

But I'm experiencing a revival. My on-going Chee Chronicles was updated, and I've turned out two new fics...

I'm hoping to keep up that revival until I finish Cheechron, and I'm hoping this group can help that, so I'm looking forward to some interesting discussion and et cetera.

Yeah, the ending was sad. ;-;

I'm currently re-reading the Animorphs series after I forced my friend to read them, and then she became obsessed. I'm on book 7 right now, but it's still sad knowing what's gonna happen. I seriously cried like, 8 times during #54. I'm such a sap. ^-^;

But anyways. I used to like Erek, but I guess after what he did in #53 I got mad at him. I mean, I understand _why_ he did it, it just still angered me, I guess. I totally took it personally, because I'm weird. O.o;

I guess I'm a Rachel fan, myself, though I <3 all the characters you mentioned.

Anywhoozle, I suppose I won't blather on TOO long about pointless stuff.

No, I never did. The way most fans trash it, though, and hearing that Erek was played by the Boy In Purple Socks, though, I'm deathly curious.

Really? #53 ties with #26 as my favorite in the series. *grins* That book had me hating Jake more than Erek. Then again, I do make allowances for my little droid-boy...

Hehe. As for the show, I dunno whether to tell you to run screaming in the other direction, or that you MUST see it.

Personally, as a film major, I thought it was complete and utter crap. :D
But I do have to give them credit for trying.
If you want a good laugh, watch the show! But don't be _too_ disappointed with stuff.

As for #53, I dunno, I guess it depends on what kind of person you are, as to who you sided with. Not that it's a bad thing, but I mean... wait. Where was I going with this? O.o;
...oh yeah. Jake did what he felt was right, Erek did what he felt was right, and neither of them was really 'wrong' but I think there was just some kind of misunderstanding. :)

#26 was pretty good, though. :)

Yeap. I used to have respect for Erek. But then I just wanted to send his little Androd body to the sun and to watch him ment. Rachel died in vain. I cried too, man that was sad. Jake screwed up, I should have killed him. Gah.

*sigh* Well, I liked Erek alot, but so many things about the ending of the series saddened me, one of them being that they fell out with Erek. They were really friends and then because of the war they weren't, anymore.

I personally think that she left it wide open for another series, or at least a few more books, KA shouls see what a movement it was and write more about "The One" and the renegade yeerks along with more indepth on what happend to the Yeerks anyway, I mean yea they disbanned but liek the blade ship there must be more some where, and we don't know if Jake, Marco, and Tobias really died, we just know they were gonna ram the ship and being the total evil fan that I am I think the one is a new name for Crayak and that the kelbrids are his new team in the chess game with the Andalites

I was never much for Jake, he annoyed me with his "ooo I'm the leader and I don't wanna be and oh no what about morals and whinge whinge whinge!" he just became really irritating. And he messed up big time in the final book.
