Damn, I haven't been here for a while. Missed my geeky home. Hope ye all have been well.
I have two things to share. Firstly, I had a God-awful horrible week, and to cheer me up and make me laugh, a good friend of mine wrote me an Animorphs fic, involving Gafinilan... and his douchebag brother who likes to wear tacky Hawaiian shirts, and produce amateur Andalite adult videos.
If you feel like some utterly silly lulz that made me smile on an otherwise sucktacular day...

And secondly, though I haven't had any major fictional epiphanies... the creative juices, they always flow. A bit ago I wrote several riddles of some of my favorite characters and had my deviantART watchers guess who they are. I think you guys will recognize this one. Nothing specific, but... this is just how she seems to me, as a child.
God is a ten-year-old Black girl with her hair in Mickey-Mouse puffs and dirt on the knees of her pink jeans. She's been out making cities out of anthills while the other kids kick balls and run around crazy; she's building bridges and rivers and churches, thinking maybe the little people go inside and put their ant-hands together and sing to her, the way she does with her mom and dad every Sunday. Maybe someday she'll be looking at this from another place, another time, and she'll be someone else, someone bigger than who she is now, who can see so much farther and tell everyone what's coming - but for right now she's just fine.

I'm jealous. And I'm smiling now thinking of her as some sort of ant god. :)no subject

:3 Thank ye, dear.
I dunno, my prose can often be like... weirdly poetic. Kind of suited for riddles and stuff, maybe not so much other things.
But yeah, I always loved Cassie too. And saw her as the kid who was off in her own little world, removed and somehow higher than the other kids on the playground. I think she always saw more than other people did.

Date: 2010-10-31 12:49 am (UTC)Your views on Cassie are spot on, and the reason she was the character I identified with the most. I'm usually off in my own little world and I've generally found animals to be better company than people.
I'll have to wait until tomorrow and go to the library to view fanarts. My mobile is being a bitch and I waited ten minutes for the frikken page to load, and then it ended up all wonky. Jesus, I can't even afford $18 a month for internet, fml. Well, I could if my landlord didn't require me to have renter's insurance, which is $17.50. Grrr.
