Thanks! Yeah, I really wanted to stay more true to the characters I had in my head than the book cover models- though it's pretty obvious I still use them for reference, but Tobias' hair was always one of those things that I thought should stay true (I feel the same about Harry Potter's hair!).
I know! I can't wait for Elfangor either, trying to not rush it though :) I have one reader who has never even read Animorphs before, so it's kind of fun to hear what he has to say about the kids and everything without the whole back story.

It's awesome!!! I can't wait to see the rest. I'm really impressed. My only criticism so far is I'm not sure that I would follow what's happening if I didn't know the story already. However, I do know the story already, and I love it!
I did my cover before I saw the mock-up for the new cover. I'm kind of hoping that it's just because of the fancy whatever-it-is they're doing to the cover and shooting a picture "mid morph" would look ugly- though get used to that because the kids (except Cassie) are going to look pretty hideous morphing in the comic! ;)
Well, think about how much you knew what was going on when you read the first book ;)
I do have someone who's reading the comic that hasn't read the series and I'm paying attention to his feedback to make sure everything is making sense. Thank you for your input too!
