Animorphs Wish List

Just an idea, for those of us scanning FOL and other places for Animorphs books to collect, re-collect, or finish the series - maybe we should network. My local FOL is going to be closed until around New Year's Day, but I walk in there and sometimes there are quite a few Animorphs books, particularly after FOL book drives/fares.

There were three copies of The Capture and two of The Stranger, for instance, amongst some others - I managed to get The Underground and The Illusion. Being dollarless the week before I missed out on getting The Pretender. And this is without even checking other local libraries.

So if we network and know what books other people are looking for, we could swap - either trade when someone has a book in their area that you're looking for and vice versa, or just get the book for its cost and postage.

I've managed to get really lucky through FOL at times, but if I know what other books people are looking for there could definitely be some helping out in that regard. They're never in really bad shape or anything either (especially comparing them to my Amazon experience...).

Also, I believe I have duplicates of The Secret and I know I have two of The Departure.

The problem is, how do you do something like that well in a series where being a part of the team could never actually make sense? None of it can apply outside the series.

Also, most of us are in our twenties and unless you work in a school it would be really odd to have a close relationship with any teenagers.

Even if you did work in a school, having to meet up with any kids outside on occasion would be weird and possibly a lawsuit. Animorphs: The Statutory Rape Edition D:

no but it's all just *escapism* like those books were written with the broadest possible protagonist in mind, like YOU FIND A MAGIC BOTTLE and "you" is the only physical description we get, but yeah for that plot to work you'd have to be a member of the team

now I'm going to spend all night trying to figure out a way to write a pick your own animorphs adventure that makes in-universe sense simultaneously casting that general "you"...

I have all the books. I hit up thrift stores frequently and always check their book section, so I see them a lot. If people make a list, I wouldn't mind buying them if I see them...but I'd probably need to be paid back because I am a Poor College Student.
