Animorphs: A Graphic Novel!

I've officially started work on my graphic novel project I've been thinking, mulling over, starting- then stopping again forever now.... And hopefully with your support and encouragement, I've got it going!   While I have no backlog, my NaNoMangO project for this month is Animorphs! So expect a panel a day :)

Thanks everyone!

mm, no intended poaching meant. I just can color well and draw abomidably.

This... Oh man. I think I'm drowning in Fangirl glee here. I don't think there's a way this comic could possibly not be completely awesome.

I'm going to quite pitifully beg for more.

No pressure, but I'm going to try and use these to convert someone into reading the books.

He's all like "wah wah 60 books wah wah", so after calling him a wimp, I'll direct him to these. :D

I totally dig your style. The line work is very confident and easy going, like you are conversing with a friend through your lines. It also seems to be uniquely YOU. It's not manga or American cartoon or comic book. It's well suited for a graphic novel considering the width and amazing amount of variety that goes on in that genre.

Anyway I look forward to seeing more! I'm a sucker for graphic novels (every time I'm even NEAR a bookstore I always end up walking out of there with a new one). And now you are combining my newly-regained love of Animorphs with one of my major passions of all time. So... YES I'M EXCITED.

Yeah the world of comics and graphic novels can totally be intimidating. I watch a lot of the big hitter comic-guys on DeviantArt and am quite literally BLOWN THE FUCK AWAY by some of their work. Not to mention there are just SO MANY comic books out there and SO MANY different styles within them all.

I commend you for taking on this huge project. I made a graphic novel in my digital illustration class and it was only a measly 11 pages long and took me like 2/3s OF THE SEMESTER to do it. But my art professors were totally harsh, and every time I thought, "YES, THIS IS IT" they would come with a whole new round of critiques to throw at me which meant REDRAWING entire pages, RE-INKING, RE-COLORING, RE-DOING TYPE... REDOING EVERYTHING at least once haha.

I suggest you get some kind of mentor to give you feedback if you are serious about publishing. It's amazing how much an outside perspective can help.

Looks AWESOME.

Marco looks a little like a girl. This is appropriate. :)

You will make me very happy by continuing?

Marco's hair is ~*~*FAAAABULOUS~*~* :D

I like this panel A WHOLE LOT because just in that one shot, we kinda get a foreshadowing of what their roles would be: Marco the strategist, and Jake the commander of his little troops, using his controls.
