I'm not sure if this is against posting rules or not (if it is, please feel free to remove the post and let me know), but I wanted to announce the opening of a new Animorphs related drabble community!
Found at
ka_verse, this new drabble community gives you a table of 50 or 100 prompts. In response to each of those prompts, you write a drabble ranging from 100 to 1000 words. You have the option to write about characters or pairings from any one of K.A. Applegate's book series, i.e., Animorphs, Remnants, Everworld.
Though similar in concept wtih
animorphs100, this new drabble community will present to you a huge range of interesting prompts at once to get you writing again on your own terms.
Please check out the profile page of
ka_verse for more information.
Happy drabbling!

Date: 2009-09-28 04:26 am (UTC)1. MUST we stick to one character/one pairing in fulfilling these prompts? What if, say, I want to write Marco/Rachel but also want to write Tobias/Rachel?
2. Do we have a deadline for fulfilling all the prompts? Writing 100 minifics under a deadline is honestly daunting to me, so yeah ^_^'

Date: 2009-09-28 04:57 am (UTC)In response to your questions, the focus of your fics should revolve around the characters you pick. If you pick Marco/Rachel, then you must feature both of the characters significantly in your story. However, you can definitely include secondary characters, like Tobias, in the drabble too.
Also, there is no deadline in completing the drabbles. My only request is that you post your first drabble four weeks after you are approved for your claim. Afterward, I'd appreciate it if members posted at least once after every two months, but of course, if you can't, then ya can't. My ultimate hope is that members will complete their drabbles sets someday. =)
You can find more information about the comm at the comm profile. Also, if you don't mind, I may use your questions in the comm's FAQ page. Of course, it would be worded slightly differently =)

Date: 2009-09-28 05:14 am (UTC)Can I do something like pick all the Animorphs? 'Cos in my FFnet account, those five are the focus of my fics--because there are just not enough character studies in this fandom.

Date: 2009-09-28 10:58 pm (UTC)In response to your question, you can claim two unique characters/pairings/character groups. For example, you can claim Jake/Cassie (pairing -- your first claim) and also Andalites (character group -- which would be your second claim).
If you want, you can claim just one character and write fics based around that character. For example, you can claim Rachel and write Rachel-centric fics. =)
Just make sure you let me know who you've chosen so I can give you a tag and put you on the claims list.
