RP?

I'm looking for canon Animorphs or Animorph-world based RP. I'd probably base it off a grand majority of the canon series, as I'm rereading them all bit by bit to get the history I've forgotten. I can send links to those who wanna brush up, but let's chat anyway!

If anyone wants to start an LJ RP, and we can get up enough people for each Animorphs faction...I'd do that, too, but one on ones are just as okay. :D

Since you seemed to be asking about an LJ roleplay community, I assumed you meant easy little "act in-character" RPs with chat only. My mistake.

I'm not really interested enough to IM you for an RP (this is your post and I was being courteous because I do love to write) but if you have trouble finding an established roleplay that suits you, my door's always open for a casual game. Good luck! :)

Er well...if you are not interested, we would not have much fun anyway, as people tend to RP worse when they aren't having fun. ^^;;

Also, I've never known LJ RPs to be chat only. As far as I know, there are journals which are written by the characters themselves, chats, and then logs which are similar to forums style. I have always RPed on LJ this way and don't really like much else.

I didn't want an established game. I wanted either a one-on-one, or perhaps help making an LJ game of my own.

I'm not really a proboards fan, unfortunately. Such bad experiences there. I'd prefer LJ or one on one, and I'll work on writing lore for it.

x_x Mostly people doing a bunch of stuff on it and then the mods abandon it for no reason, or the quality of RP being exceptionally low (lower than LJ) or people making overpowered OCs more, proportionately, than LJ games, or people letting really bad things slide for no reason...

Plus the forum style of RP is not particularly fun for me either. I like, and am best at, journalling with my character and then doing logging. Both interactions in unison are my favorite (along with IM logs since it is Animorphs and logical for it).

Actually, ideally, I'd make an IRC Animorphs board. :D

Extremely 'realistic' Modern Animorphs RP

Me and a friend are participating in one of the best RPs based on pre-existing work I have ever seen. It is an AU if you want to call it that, as in no Marco, Cassie, etc. Some faces will and have made an appearance, such as Visser Three, Elfangor, and that is it so far. Ellimist will of course show up.

The basic premise is that the characters are older and more mature then the originals, since the players are not kids like the intended audience of the books. Posts are VERY well written, the GM himself being a professional Editor.

Do NOT go to the site expecting to play in an RP where it is in script format, or u post a reply like, "Yes, I did like it." You will be SADLY mistaken! This board in general and thus including the RP is set to certain standards. One line posts are flamed and shunned. People tend to post a nice several paragraph post. Heck, many times they post a page or two worth of a reply post with the character's thoughts being played on and described.

This RP is also different from the RPs on the site. For one, most of us are posting as the first person POV for this RP, and the signups are structured very differently. It encourages creative thought and entertaining reading of the signup then looking like just a statistics sheet. The sheet starts with "Hi my name is..." and you continue from that with your character's personal introduction story, which is basically a writing sample. Then the rest of the sheet has stuff like outlook, description, signature morphs for when u acquire the ability etc. But they also hold true to the spirit of the books, in that u do NOT give last name, u do NOT give measurements, etc. U describe your character without key details that the original animorphs would have avoided saying.

It seems rather strict but is a great RP overall, with great interactions and events. So far we are in what we are calling 'book two' having finished book one a bit ago with the yeerk pool raid. Book two involves the animorphs of the rp to track down a student who has done research to prove the existance of aliens and is getting 'interveiwed' to discuss it to reporters who are really Yeerks trying to infect him to shut him up.

We also just opened up the ability to sign up as an alien, either one from the series, or an original which of course requires much creativity and thought put behind it and WHY it would be on earth.

And yeah, I know Gamefaqs is dumb with their post formating and stuff, but it is still a VERY good community of RPers.
