So, I was just scanning through one of my favorite streaming vid sites and found that they have a lot of Animorphs Season 1 episodes. I hadn't actually seen the show before, so it was an ... interesting ... experience to say the least.

1) Instead of it being Rachel that had the crocodile allergy, it was Cassie. Anyone think of any reasons for that, except possibly to try to give Cassie more screentime?

2) They COMPLETELY changed the future AU where Tobias was meant to be a Controller since everyone except Tobias ended up as a controller. Not that I mind, seeing as I love Tobias and it was cool to think of him as a freedom fighter (not to mention all the Rachel/Tobias moments, squee!) but it was still a bit of mind-twister to me.

Also, I made a Rachel/Tobias icon with a word from Elfangor's hirac delest. I'm assuming single icons are okay to not put behind a cut, but I'll stick it under a cut if anyone objects. Credit to icon_d if you snag, and enjoy!

I remember that future episode where everyone's a controller and I hadn't read MM4 yet (actually, I don't think it was out quite yet?) so I thought they made up this totally new thing for no reason whatsoever.

I'm 95% sure that that episode of the TV show came out before the book did. I think there was some connection between the two, but I can't remember what it was.

i always wonder about changes like that, not just in this fandom bother other ones too. most of the time it just seems pointless.

I thought I heard the one with The Reaction was that Rachel had just had a big storyline so they changed it or something.

haha. not to mention the crocodile incident goes from the enormous reptile-infested concrete compound in the book to a little petting zoo three-foot babycroc held in by a mighty wire gate.

I watched the TV show once... at the funeral home when my grandpa died. I was like 9 and I didn't want to see him lying in the casket... I'm going to have to see what actually happened in there.

Hmmm.... I'd think I'd like an Animorphs LJ icon. I like yours, but doesn't really fit me so I might do some searching.
