if it wasn't a children's series...

so we all know that the animorphs series, despite having extremely dark and heavy elements and themes, is still categorized as a children's series and therefore there were a lot of things that couldn't have been included in the books. what would you guys have liked to have seen in the books if it had actually been geared towards an older audience? how far do you think the books could have gone then?

something that always stuck out to me was that david always seemed like he could have been pretty sexually sadistic, especially towards rachel. i always felt like if it could have been included, david would have assaulted her somehow, or at least tried. (i mean does anyone remember the shower line? so creepy!)

i know there's more but that's all that sticks out to me right now. what about you guys?
