Haha, it wasn't even so much that I was "closeted" as I didn't really know what "fandom" was when I was really into it in middle school. Didn't get a chance to spread my wings on it until I found an actual active comm (this one!) completely by accident.
But it is fantastic when I meet other people, especially IRL, who are into it.
