And yes Craylak always wanted Rachel so much... I think his obsession with Jake/Rachel made it obvious really early in the series that it could only be obe of the two of them... and you can't kill the leader in a kids series. Example: Harry Potter can't stay dead and a series that starts with "My name is Jake" can't kill Jake.
