Your fan experience of Animorphs

Spurred on by the huge response to the friend post, I thought this would be a fun topic to post.

How did you get into Animorphs, and what is your personal history as a fan of the series?

 

 

I have to admit, I’m a lot less hardcore than many people here.  I actually never finished the series.  I was definitely obsessed with it for a while, but my interest petered out somewhere in the 30s, I think. 

 

However, I did eventually track down and read the ending books.  The ending kind of broke my brain heart ... I have to say, it took the shine off the series that I’d once liked so much. 

 

A while ago something piqued my curiosity, and I thought to myself “I wonder what’s online about Animorphs?”  So I found this community and the e-books (I never owned that many of the books, and most of them are now AWOL), and I did a mass re-read over the last while -- both filling in the gaps that I had in the series, and reliving the books I’d read so many times.

 

Oh, and I found fanfiction, too.  I have been kind of shippy in other fandoms, but somehow it never occurred to me to do that with Animorphs.  Truly a whole new world of possibilities. =)

 

 

Anyway, what’s your story, folks?

Beta needed for M/R fic

Hello! I've just started participating in the Animorphs fandom. Recently reread the books, yada yada. Anyway, I'm writing a fairly long M/R fic. It's post 54, a little depressing, lots of swearing, drugs and sex galore with a little action and adventure thrown in. I would much appreciate the attention of a beta. It's hard for me to really see the flaws in my own works, and unfortunately there are many. Even if you're not the best with spelling/grammar/whatever, I'd appreciate a critical eye.

Songs that remind you of the Animorphs

I was re-organizing my iTunes today and ended up discovering (or rediscovering) a few songs in the process, some of which really reminded me of the relationships in this series. At first I was thinking of making a fanmix, but idk, I guess my laziness took over so I'm here instead posting about songs!
