I'm an up and comming writer and I'm already talking to a production company to put up one of my manuscripts as a major motion picture. And I've been thinking a long time about an Animorphs movie or movies for that part because 54 books aren't gonna be compacted into 2 hours on my watch. So I know a lot of the books are not keyed into the story too badly. I know I will include 1-7, 13, 15 (pretty much the marco mom saga) 17 (maybe for the humor) 19 (to learn about the beginning of the Yeerk Peace Movement, 20-22 of course, 23 (need it),26,29,30,maybe 40,45, 49-54. That's what I think is kinda the key story line.

You guys notice anything I missed?? Maybe something else?
Would love to get started on it soon and who better than to ask then the people who would be first in line to see the movie? And ppl are asking like why would they see it, well why not?? Evil aliens, action death and global chaos. And I mean "The Invasion"(of the body snatchers) is being remade this year so what could be better than the option of an Animorphs Movie!

Need good feedback from you guys for this.

I think K.A. should just pick up Animorphs again...
LOL, I know, I should keep dreaming. ^ _ ^

But she could, I think, and rather conveniently, just pick it up where she left off. I mean, she left off at a pretty good spot; she could just start a whole other series if she wanted to...*shrug*

I mean, I think how badly her other series' did is like a message from God: GO BACK TO TEH ANIMORPHS! THEY MISS YOU K.A.!

No really though. That would be great. ^ _ ^

(Btw. it's me vikinglady, I just got a new account. ^ _ ^ )

So what do you guys and gals think of that? Fun or shun?

Just last night I decided I would start reading the series again.  It's been forever since I read it.  So, I just came across this part that I found very amusing.  I love animals and this part just made me giggle.  It's from the first book ,The Invasion, on pages 66-67, when Jake first morphs Homer.

"Bad dog," Tom said to me.  "You keep quiet.  Bad dog."  And then he left.

I was devastated.  I wasn't a bad dog.  Not really.  I was just barking because some other dog was in MY yard.  Bad dog?  I was a bad dog?  No, I wanted to be a good dog.  I crept into the corner, utterly miserable.

Tobias knelt down and patted my head.

When he scratched me behind the ears, I felt a little better.

Anyone else think KA has a 'start a series, write some books, get bored and ditch it off to ghostwriters' complex? It irritates me and it always has.

Well I re read 54 today and have thoughts. So first off I love Crayak (Obviously) and the game that him and Ellimist play. So here's one of my thoughts.

I think Crayak was pissed about how the Yeerk / Human war ended. And in doing so he was angered in such a way that he decided to cheat by going after the one morph capable creature that wanted Jake dead, and that would be Tom's Yeerk. I think Crayak was "The One" due to the massive ship Ax described seemded to fit the description that Ellimist gave us. So I think Crayak gave them the idea for the new Yeerk Empire and gradure and such.

Another thought. KA claimed she didn't know who she was gonna kill off but she knew it would be one of them yet we all know about the beginning and end of The Ellimist Chronicles about the one of The Animorphs dying.

So I listened to all of the AMcast and they were talking about Visser Three and his seemingly over the top show of force and all of his personality flaws. So I am thinking about the war and the Yeerks and KA and all of her background and what not's. But does Visser Three remind anyone of Hitler?? I mean seriously, a lot of the Yeerks under his control could never get and edge, or promotions. He stalled for a while, worked his way up the ranks quick and when promoted to Visser Three he was ready for all out war after tasting it with The Hork-Bajir. Esplin 9466 was very smart, learned all he could while in the pool ship after he was born and strived for a good world. It's such a Hitler picture I'm kinda sad that I was stupid enough to pass it over in all these years. And then there is the flawed host (Handicapped) were passed up because of their usefulness. So it's kinda horrible the test on yeerk, humans and andalites. The AMR like testing eletrical currents in humans with the Nazi's. The expendability of the Taxxons (Soviets) with their eventual revolation. So yeah there are a lot of things in common there.

And I was thinking anyone inturested in doing a little podcast type thing. AM hasn't done anything in a while and I would life to talk with other and what not. Feel free to e mail me at Crayak1987@aol.com if your inturested, I'm really serious about it and would love to start soon.

Making Out

A series I never see mentioned here associated with KA (and also another victim of her start-ditch-ghostwriter-itis) is the Making Out series, which she published before Animorphs under the penname Katherine Applegate.

A lot of the R/T and C/J interactions can be seen in that series as well. A lot of the making out characters could easily be foils for the Animorphs and vice-versa. I remember thinking so when I read the first couple of Making Out books. Heck, there's even a Jake.

:P
