Morphing at Home

When 'Animorphs' was first coming out, I remember being so fascinated by the covers. Before I even opened to the first page of each new release, I studied the cover morph very carefully, seeing how the two bodies blended together so perfectly. Back then, the technology to make the morphs was far beyond our reach but now people can easily do it in their own homes, with their own computer programs. I've seen pictures on the Net of the end result of people making their own.

Has anyone here ever given this a shot? Care to share your secrets and the program you use? I'd love to try my hand at it.

Someone actually already has a tutorial up at DeviantArt. You can check it out here:

I can't remember the exact posts, but I've come across a couple while tagging old posts. I've put them under "fan art", so if you look in that tag you might find them. (We're still working on this though, so there might still be some in the community that we haven't tagged yet)

I used this piece of software to do it years and years ago but it's probably not around anymore and I can't think of its name. Drat.

See, the covers always kind of bugged me because in the books they always made a point of how UNgraceful and disordered morphing was, and the covers showed the exact opposite, [/geek]

So I was bored one day and used Adobe Premiere to make a video clip of one of my friends turning into a hedgehog, but now I can't find the confounded thing...
