It's that time again!

Shameless self-promotion time!

A new page of the Animorphs #5 comic is up. Ax gets an entire panel full of angst! Also I drew a high school. And a beat panel, and I hate drawing beat panels, errg. Comments always welcome.

Also, do any of you fine folks know if there's an active Gone community on LJ? I'm desperate to babble about Plague with people. Feel free to babble about Plague in this post, too.

Old merchandise on sale

Okay, so over a year ago, I posted here about finding Animorphs bookmarks for sale at a local bookstore. I now work part-time at said bookstore and it is, sadly, closing its doors next week. So, I figured it was high time I offered some of the old merchandise to you guys. I didn't realize on my initial visit last year, but the bookmarks weren't the only Animorphs items. There were magnets and journals too. So, I'll list the stuff for you here and the prices and it'll be first-come-first-served.
(Edit: Bookmarks are taken! All that's left are used copies of books.)

Clearance! )

Wanna Quote Your Love for Animorphs?

I'm writing a book review on the Animorphs relaunch for my college's newspaper (something I'm really excited for because I've always wanted to write a review for Animorphs). I'd love to get some quotes from fellow fans here, since I don't know many in real life.

No names will be used (I quoted a friend of mine in a different book review and they changed her name to just 'A friend' because the newspaper people are a bit weird like that) so I can't give you credit for the quote but I'll credit you in the post I make here on LJ about the finished review. The review will be published in my college's newspaper next Friday, and on the school's website by the weekend, which I will post a link as soon as it goes up.

Obviously, I can't quote all the fans (I'd need a whole solo newspaper to do that, rather than just a small corner on one page) but I'll try to use as many as I can. If you're interested, type in a quote in the comments below.

What I'm looking for is:
- Why do you like Animorphs?
- What do you think the relaunch will give to a new generation that it gave to older fans?
- Are you excited for the relaunch or dreading it, and why?
- If you read the series when it was originally being printed, has it has any lasting effect on you through the years (job selection, personal life, anything like that)?

And please keep any quotes spoiler free.

Thanks guys!

I'm surprised no one's posted these yet...college humor spoofs

No spoilers that I can see. I can't get the pictures to post but they'd take up a lot of Flist room anyway. Does any one know if the backgrounds are real book cover backgrounds?
