David is back, with an ally: Crayak. He's captured Rachel, and she's experiencing strange and frightening things. Will she get out of it intact, or will she give into her killer instinct, so to speak?

I'm not sure what to think of this one, wasn't last time around either.

The retractable claws thing remind me of either the Howlers or Wolverine lol

It's weird how Crayak and David manipulate things so often, and that we can lose track of what's reality and what's the vision-world.

Of course, it's never revealed if she killed David or not.

If you didn't like this book, what would've been a better way to bring David back?

David, the 'Sixth Animorph' is back. When the Animorphs and Ax decided to give another human being the power to morph, it was one of their biggest mistakes. David tried to destroy all of them and almost succeeded. Rachel and the others thought they'd seen the last of him when they trapped David as a nothlit. Leaving him on a deserted island to live out his days as a rat.
They were wrong.
Rachel knows what a therad David is. He's cunning and dangerous. Worst of all, he knows their secrets. Now he's captured Rachel as part of his plan to take over everything. Davcid wants power. Money. But more than anything, he wants revenge.

I can't help seeing this one as another filler book. I think they should have focused on the plot knowing they were so close to the end.

Obviously this contradicts Rachel saying at the end of The Solution that they never saw David agian. I came up with the idea that she was narrating that book before this one ever happened...it's the only way I can explain it to myself.

I find it interesting how Crayak kept tempting her to give up Jake to save her own life...isn't that the same thing he said at the end of The Exposed, in the Pemalite ship?

What do we think Rachel ultimately did in the end? I'm curious why it was ended that way.

Prompt: Blast from the past

Next week: Time to tell the parents
