So after 2 years of repeatedly suggesting and sweet-talking our collection managers and directors, our library system FINALLY (!!!) has the first 7 Animorphs books! They're the "new" editions w/the trippy covers, but *shrug*. Anyways, this is my display sign for it: )
Let me know what you think!

"It all started with the dreams. But Cassie didn’t pay much attention to them. She and her friends have been having nightmares ever since they acquired the power to morph. But when Cassie discovers that Tobias has been having dreams too — the exact same dreams — about the ocean, and a voice that’s calling to them for help, she decides it’s time to start listening. Now she and the others have to figure out if the dreams are a message, or a trap."

Magic talking whales, anyone?

[No non-spoilery edition this time around, since [livejournal.com profile] reanimorphs hasn't really taken off]

(in a hurry tonight, so I have to skip the summary from the back)

Cassie and Tobias are having strange dreams. And so, they hear, is Visser Three. It's a voice, an Andalite, calling out for help. After some initial disagreement, the group goes on their first water mission, locating the Andalite ship as dolphins and rescuing its inhabitant...Ax.

When do they start using the word 'demorph' instead of 'unmorph'? That had me curious.

It's obvous why Tobias got the dreams, but why Cassie too? Is it connected to the whole thing in Back to Before?

This is the first Cassie book so it's the first time we see her wrestling with morals and ethics and all that.

I love this book just for the dolphin morphs and the whale stuff...I'd definately love to do a morph like that. After a flying one anyway.

How come the dolphin was immune to the acquiring trance later but not this time? Different dolphin?

I think this is also where we get the first inkling of trouble since Ax says the Andalite fleet is like two years away.

Prompt...A strange message

Next week: The Predator...the big boss is in town and she has a surprise for Marco.

Summary

It all started with dreams. But Cassie didn’t pay much attention to them. She and her friends had all been having weird dreams ever since they’d first learned to morph. Maybe it was just some crazy side effect.

That’s when Cassie discovered that Tobias has been having the exact same dreams. Dreams about the ocean. And a strange feeling that someone is calling to them. Calling for help.

Now Cassie, Tobias, Jake, Rachel, and Marco have to figure out if the dreams are a message – or a trap. And if it is a trap, it could mean the end – for everyone…

Prompt:
Trust – Create a work that depicts characters having to trust, either themselves or others.

Questions:

- I’m sorry guys, I’ve got nothing this week.

This week has been nuts. I’m sorry this post is late and has no questions. Next week will be better, I promise!

In #4 The Message, Cassie and Tobias were the only ones who really heard Ax's cries from the ocean. Why do you think that is? Im fairly positive that Tobias heard because of him being partly Andalite, but what about Cassie? Does it have something to do with her being an estreen? With the fact that she's more in tune with everything than the others? Or does it have something to do with her being an "anomaly"? What do you guys think? ^_^
